About Us

Art Month Sydney has been organised by the Australian Art Fair Foundation, a registered non-profit company. A board of directors, paid staff and volunteers have all worked to help create Art Month Sydney 2010, with the support of many others including galleries, artists, public institutions and government bodies.  

Donations

Tax deductable donations to Art Month can be made through direct debit. Funds will go to help support Art Month volunteers and the publication of the Family Gallery trail (education project for children and families).

Andrew Rothery:
Chair of Australian Private Equity & Venture Capital Association. Non executive director of various NAB/MLC wealth management companies and International Grammar School, Sydney. 

Vasili Kaliman:
Founder of Art Month. Founder and Director of Kaliman Gallery since 2001. Former International Publishing Director of Art World Magazine (UK Edition). Founder of the contemporary art blog Vasili Kaliman's Art Patrol, which has over 10,000 subscribers. Founder of the Twitter feed @theartmarket, which has become one of the world's leading sources of art market information on Twitter. 

Sarah Hetherington:
Gallery Manager of Liverpool Street Gallery. Arts writer and contributor to Art World Magazine, Eyeline, Artlink, The Art Market Report and Runway Member of the International Association of Art Critics (AICA).

Dr Dick Quan:
Medical practitioner and managing partner of Holdsworth House Medical Practice. Member of the AGNSW Foundation and CCB. Freelance writer on art and culture for Wish Magazine and other publications. 

Julia Champtaloup:
Management and fundraising experience in the non-profit sector. Managed advocacy campaigns for Amnesty International and organisations, London. Worked in corporate communications, New York.

Kym Elphinstone:
Director, [art]iculate - PR and communications agency. Former Communications and Public Affairs Manager for the Museum of Contemporary Art in Sydney. Communications advisor for relaunch of the New Museum, New York in 2000.

Michael Reid:
Founder of Art Month. Director of galleries Michael Reid at Elizabeth Bay and Michael Reid at Murrurundi, NSW. Author and long standing art market analyst for The Australian and Good Weekend. Member of the Australian Antique Dealers Association Member of the advisory board of Desert (the Association of Central Australian Aboriginal Art & Craft Centres).
